 A convicted murderer who went missing from a hospital in Hampshire has been found, police have said.

Members of the public had been warned not to approach Daniel Rosenthal, 58, after he went missing during an unsupervised walk around the gardens of Tatchbury Mount Hospital, Totton.

Mr Rosenthal was described by Hampshire Police as “potentially dangerous”.

According to the Southern Daily Echo Rosenthal murdered his mother at their home in Hedge End in 1981 after killing his father in France.

The newspaper claims that Mr Rosenthal chopped both his parent’s bodies into pieces with a hacksaw.

Mr Rosenthal, who has paranoid schizophrenia, received a life sentence in July 1982.

Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust was unavailable for comment.
