A coal train has derailed in the southeastern Wisconsin city of Caledonia.

The Caledonia Fire Department says 19 cars on the Union Pacific train jumped the track around 7:30 a.m. Sunday.

Battalion Chief Jeff Henningfeld says nobody was hurt, and there was no release of hazardous materials, but numerous cars were heavily damaged.

The cause of the derailment is under investigation. Union Pacific officials went to the scene, and the railroad sent heavy equipment to get cars back onto the track.

The 135-car coal train was headed from Wyoming to Chicago.
