After a lengthy search and many rumoured short lists, Disney and LucasFilm have found their Han Solo in the form of Hail, Caesar! actor Alden Ehrenreich.
Ehrenreich was born in Los Angeles, California, the son of Sari (née Newmann), an interior designer, and Mark Ehrenreich. His stepfather, Harry Aronowitz, is an orthodontist. He is from a Jewish family (from Austria, Hungary, Russia, and Poland), and was raised in Reconstructionist Judaism
