The View’s Joy Behar is tired of reporters and politicians who are pussyfooting around when it comes to confronting Donald Trump over his ties to Russia.
In addition to citing a CIA assessment that reportedly claims the Russian government intervened in the 2016 presidential election to help Trump win, Behar on Monday noted numerous connections between Trump and Russia — and said that it’s long past time for people to start asking hard questions.
Among other things, Behar noted that potential Secretary of State pick Rex Tillerson has a long-standing relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and that former campaign manager Paul Manafort was ousted from the campaign due to his his alleged work on behalf of the Russian government in Ukraine.
“Paul Manafort, who used to be his campaign director, he had to quit because of his ties to Russia,” Behar fumed. “I mean, do we have to wait until the hammer and sickle is on the American flag before we stand up to this guy?”
