Aryeh Goodman, who runs a religious learning center out of his East Brunswick home, paid to have sex with a 17-year-old girl at a hotel in the township, authorities said.

Goodman, 35, turned himself in five days later. He was charged with engaging in prostitution with a child and endangering the welfare of a child. Goodman has previously served time in prison for indecent assault on a child under the age of 13 in Pennsylvania.

No one denied that Sholom Rubashkin’s

crimes were serious. The former chief executive of what was once the country’s largest kosher meatpacking plant was convicted of more than 80 counts of financial fraud in 2009, following a massive immigration raid on the family-owned facility in northeastern Iowa. Prosecutors said he had profited off the labor of hundreds of undocumented immigrants, some of them children, and had bilked lenders out of more than $26 million.

President Donald Trump is embroiled in another row with the press, calling for a Washington Post journalist to be fired after the reporter admitted tweeting a inaccurate image of an empty arena the President was due to speak at.

Journalist Dave Weigel apologised on Twitter and deleted the photo of Mr Trump’s Florida rally, saying he had been “confused”.

A day after X-Men director Bryan Singer was sued for the alleged rape of a 17-year-old boy in 2003, the filmmaker’s ex-boyfriend has come forward to describe a relationship fueled by drugs, group sex and empty promises.

Bret Tyer Skopek told Deadline he met Singer, 52, at a Halloween party in October 2013 shortly after arriving in Los Angeles as a fresh-faced 18-year-old from Arizona. By December, the aspiring singer was sleeping with the director. Their relationship ended in December 2014.

The U.S. Marshals Service tightened its dragnet Friday for a con man dubbed “Seattle’s mini Madoff” after the 55-year-old escaped a federal prison where he was serving an 18-year sentence.

Darren Berg, who was convicted of swindling investors out of more than $100 million, walked away from a minimum-security work camp next to a penitentiary in Atwater, Calif. On Wednesday, The Seattle Times reported.
